I suppose if you take enough slim chances, you are bound to create success out of one if you stick with it long enough. Either way, imagine what you might be able to learn in the process – about the work, and yes, of yourself too.

What are you doing today that serves the greater mission for your life? Once you can answer that question without batting an eye, that’s when you’re really on to something.

The fear of taking a shot at anything in life, lives in the fact that there are no guaranteed outcomes and this notion sadly, paralyzes so many from ever taking a chance, because they can never be certain enough. It’s important to understand that the fear will always be there, that’s what makes us humans, and those of us that end of leading successful and fulfilled lives have just learned to better tame and dance with that fear more than others.

The second you make it all about you, is the second you’ve already lost. It’s about people – it always has been and it always will be.

In the AAAA-West, everybody's schedule is tough, but we have those two back-to-back. We didn't bounce back from last week. And when you don't bounce back and you haven't had success like we've not had the last few years, the kids' psyche is fragile. We got down early, and it kind of snowballed from there.

I love pitching here. We have a great field, but this stadium adds another dimension.

If you asked everybody in a quiet room what they think, they'd say, 'What does the NCAA do really well? We run championships really well.' And yet we have this thing we don't get involved in.

It's very, very hard work and you have to take care of the personal hygiene needs of the individuals.

It's a lot of different things that fell into place. At the end of the day, it's a good game for us. We're happy to get it done.

It is the ultimate compliment for a student-athlete to give money at such a young age back to his university. All of our contributions are valuable and this one's especially valuable because of who it's from and what it means to him endorsing his experience at the University of Utah.
